The Textures of One Art Prize returns in 2026 with a theme Nowhere / Somewhere: Landscapes real and imagined.

This playful theme explores the spaces in between, the feeling of being lost or found, anchored or adrift, searching or staying. It invites artists to consider physical, emotional, and conceptual landscapes: the places we call home, the ones we leave behind, and the ones we dream of.

We’re excited to see how artists interpret this theme, whether through the lens of geography, personal experience, or abstract exploration. Where do we find meaning? What defines a place, a moment, a state of mind? This year, we invite you to bring these questions to life through your art.

Works can span any medium, from painting and sculpture to textile, photography, and digital art.

$250 Loretta Kervin Encouragement Award for first time entrants

    Delivery of artworks:

  • The 2026 Terms and Conditions of Entry are as follows:

    • All entries with payment must be received by 11.59pm, Friday 17 April 2026.

    • Limit of 3 artworks per artist.

    • Works that do not meet the size or theme criteria will not be judged and may not be displayed.

    • Entries must be original work of the entrant.

    • Wall works must be suitably framed or presented for exhibition, with d-rings for exhibition, and must not be wet.

    • Wall works must not exceed 150cm in any direction. Sculptural works must not exceed 80cm in any direction and 30kg in weight.

    • All exhibits require a brief summary on the connection to the 2026 motif of nowhere / somewhere. This is included on the entry form.

    • Works that do not meet the size or theme criteria will not be judged and may not be displayed.

    • All entries will be accepted and returned at the risk of the exhibitor. Insurance is the owner’s responsibility.

    • Set up and display of heavy sculptural items of decorative pieces will be the responsibility of the individual artist in coordination with the curator of the exhibition.

    • The committee reserves the right to have exhibits reproduced in the media, on our website and social media.

    • Sidetrack Arts receives a 20% commission from all sales.

    • Sidetrack Arts and Platform Arts Hub will not be left with the responsibility of storage or delivery of any works left after 30 May 2026.

    • The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    • The Blayney Shire Council Acquisitive Prize is judged independently of Sidetrack Arts Inc and Platform Arts Hub Blayney and is open to all entrants who have nominated to be considered excepting employees of Blayney Shire Council.

    • The Loretta Kervin Encouragement Award is judged by the Kervin family and is open to all entrants new to Textures of One.

    • I understand that my exhibited work/s are on display for for the duration of the exhibition dates and must be collected on 10 May 2026.
